  About BBPA

TED MILNER, PRESIDENT
Ted Milner is president & founder of The Black Baseball Players Association, an organization created to acknowledge the contributions of the Negro League Baseball players.  As a former professional athlete who played with the St. Louis Cardinals, Houston Astros, California Angels and the Cleveland Indians, Milner believes in honoring the men who fought for African American civil rights through the pursuit of their athletic dreams while enduring personal sacrifice.

As President of BBPA, Milner birthed a mission to celebrate the past and empower the future. The Game of the Century held in 2002 at Dodger Stadium was the first of many games to be produced. Retired Major League players, Hall of Famers and Negro Baseball League players all convene to provide entertainment, history and education for the crowd participants during the United States tour of The Game of the Century, a full 9-inning baseball game with pre-activities during the culminating week consisting of free youth baseball clinics and opportunities for the fans to meet and greet the players.

In efforts to continuously give back to his local community, Milner’s vision to educate youth about our rich Black American history through baseball clinics and camps is most recently made possible through the not-for-profit Remembering When Foundation of which Milner is the Founder & CEO.  The Remembering When Foundation founded in 2004 is simply yet profoundly a vehicle to honor the past for the achievements of today while connecting generations of people.  Students from elementary to high school ages receive free athletic training, African American history lessons from former and current professional athletes and appropriate academic support when they attend the clinics and extended camps sponsored through the Foundation.

Of his many accomplishments, Milner is proudest of forming Executive Temps with his partner Stacy Milner.  ET is the leading employment agency in the Los Angeles metropolitan area, exclusively servicing the professional and administrative needs of the entertainment industry for over 19 years.  Under his presidency, Executive Temps has become a respected household name among Hollywood’s studios and networks.

Milner, a firm believer in education, holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Organizational Leadership from Biola University.  He resides in Burbank, California with his wife and is the proud father of three children.
